About Susan Chaires
Susan Chaires has over twenty five years of experience counseling clients
in the area of intellectual property law. Additionally, as a long time member
and former general counsel to the National Association of Women Business Owners,
Ms. Chaires has actively worked with entrepreneurs and business owners in
formation of their businesses and handling of their business transactions,
both in the U.S. and internationally.
Ms. Chaires graduated from Emory University and received her Juris Doctorate,
cum laude from the University of Georgia Law School. Prior to entering private
practice in 1979, she was a trial lawyer for the U.S. Department of Justice.
She started her own firm in 1985.
Ms. Chaires has traveled extensively throughout Europe and to Australia, South Africa,
Southeast Asia and Central America, both on behalf of clients and to build
international business relationships. Ms. Chaires is very active in the
Italian-American business community and speaks Italian.
