
About Susan Chaires
An Experienced Partner
Susan Chaires has over 30 years of experience counseling clients in the area of intellectual property and business law, and has been ranked, based on research collected in 2022, in the top 1% among 50,000 + US Trademark Lawyers at the U.S. Trademarks Office.
Additionally, as a long time member and intellectual property counsel to the National Association of Women Business Owners, Ms. Chaires has actively worked with entrepreneurs and business owners in the formation of their businesses and handling of their business transactions, both in the U.S. and internationally.
Ms. Chaires graduated from Emory University and received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude from the University of Georgia Law School. Prior to entering private practice , she was a trial lawyer for the U.S. Department of Justice. She started her own firm in 1985.
Ms. Chaires has traveled extensively throughout Europe and to Australia, South Africa, Southeast Asia and Central America, both on behalf of clients and to build international business relationships. Ms. Chaires has had a number of legal projects in Italy and is an avid student of the Italian language, culture and literature.
